A zero-day exploit has been announced by Apple concerning Safari (WebKit) and macOS Monterey (kernel). An attacker could exploitarbitrary code (for Safari) or take remote control of the computer (for macOS Monterey). Updates that resolve the issue are available from Apple by running the Software Update application from System Preferences (see the links and table below for affected software).
The guidance from Apple is to patch affected macOS and iOS devices as soon as possible.
