Planned 3401 Walnut Data Center Outage (8/1/2015 to 8/2/2015)

Outage Update: Planned Data Center Outage for Preventive Maintenance on Saturday, August 1

Outage Update:  In preparation for maintenance, shutdown procedures for applications housed in the 3401 Walnut Data Center will begin at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1.  This means most administrative and business applications and services will not be available after that time.

The 3401 Walnut Data Center will be off-line on Saturday, August 1, 11:00 p.m. until 12 noon, Sunday, August 2, for preventive maintenance of electrical systems.  During the outage, many applications and services will not be available.

While there is never a perfect time for the data center to be off-line, we have scheduled the outage for the weekend and on dates that are the least disruptive to significant campus events and key dates in the University’s academic and business calendars.  As in similar outages, we ask that you do not schedule system-dependent events during this time.

Our apologies for any inconvenience the service interruption may cause and we thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

Listed below is information about the availability of a number of important, widely used applications and services.

If you have any questions or concerns about the applications you use, please contact your regular application support resource or Local Support Provider.

For more information about the data center outage,  please register to attend the information session on Tuesday, July 14 or Thursday, July 16.
