*AirPennNet-Device

AirPennNet-Device is a wireless network designed for devices that cannot connect to AirPennNet. It is meant for devices such as Kindles, Xbox Ones, Chromecasts and more.

In most cases, WiFi capable devices not listed above can connect to AirPennNet-Device. Please note that devices on AirPennNet-Device usually can not be paired with devices on AirPennNet. Devices that either rely on pairing or on auto-discovery of other devices on the same network (AirPlay using iPhones to control an AppleTV being an example) will not work as expected. Some devices like the Amazon Echo or Chromecast have workarounds that allow them to function on AirPennNet-Device without pairing.  Other devices that require pairing, like the Google Home and most wireless printers, will not function on AirPennNet-Device.

If you live on campus and you have devices that cannot be configured to use AirPennNet, register them on the Device Registration Portal. If you need assistance, contact your IT support staff to register your device.

  • College House residents should contact their ITA who will help register and connect the device.

  • Sansom East and West residents should bring devices to the Tech Center located in G-102 of the Van Pelt Library.
