The Tech Center's System Tune-Up service is designed to help you before you actually, perhaps desperately, need help with your Mac or PC. People tend not to think about taking care of their computers until they stop working well or altogether. And that often happens when people need their computers the most. Performing routine maintenance now will help keep your computer healthy so it's ready to work (or play) when you are.
During System Tune-Up, the Tech Center's knowledgeable staff will:
- Install key software updates on your computer
- Install antivirus software and ensure your system is free of malware and viruses to protect you and your data
- Perform routine system maintenance to help keep your computer running as well as it can
The amount of time it takes to complete a System Tune-Up is dependent on many factors including the amount of data on your computer, the number of updates that need to be installed, and the types of issues encountered, if any. In general, we anticipate the average tune up taking two to four hours. Once you check-in your computer for a System Tune-Up, Tech Center staff will inform you within 30 minutes with an estimated completion time.
