PennO365 Email Accounts - Quick Reference Guide


How do I give someone a PennO365 email account?
 

  1. Verify the person has a PennKey and an Active, Eligible Affiliation.
  • View the user in the Enrollment Tool.  Look in the column "All active affiliations" for an eligible affiliation.
  • Compare their affiliation(s) to the list of eligible affiliations.
  • If the user does not have an active, eligible affiliation, you need to give them one before they can be given an email account.
  1. Apply an Override.
  • If the affiliation is not STAF, FAC, or STU, the account will need an Override to be eligible for email.
  • Overrides can be applied in ARS.
  • Some schools/centers do not participate in the PennO365 email tenant. If the currently-listed school/center does not qualify for PennO365 email, it will say so in the Enrollment Tool in column "O365 ready".
  1. Mailbox Enable the account.
  • Wait 30 minutes after the override and mailbox enable the account in ARS.
  • Confirm they have an account in the Enrollment Tool under the column "Has mailbox."
