Putting it together
Licenses and Products
EES - Enrollment for Education Solutions (EES), previously known as the Campus Agreement, is the overarching agreement with Microsoft that covers the University's on-premises client access licenses, some server licenses, and Office 365 subscriptions. Billed on an annual basis through Penn’s Office of Software Licensing.
This license covers the installation and use of software products:
- Office Professional Plus
- Office 365 ProPlus Download
- Access to Office Online
- Mobile Office
Email Addresses and Mailboxes
The migration will move locally accessed mailboxes to cloud-based hosted locations. It is likely that mail will continue to be routed through individual Schools (MX records will “live” on campus)
Accounts
A user's PennName will be used to create a separate PennO365 account. This will look like their email address.
A user's PennKey account will continue to be used to access University resources.
Directory
The PennKey account will continue to be used for access to University resources.
The PennO365 account will be managed in the O365 cloud via a delegated management tool called Cloud Control.
