As you may be aware, the endpoint backup product Mozy is being discontinued by its parent company, Carbonite. Mozy is currently used at Penn as part of ISC's Backup for Desktop and Laptop service and will be unavailable after December 27, 2019.
During the past few months, ISC has been working with schools and centers across campus to find a replacement. After thorough evaluation and consideration, we are pleased to announce that we have officially signed the contract with our new endpoint backup solution, CrashPlan Pro from Code42.
ISC currently is in the process of building functionality within the CrashPlan Pro console for Penn's environment. In the meantime, we can offer early access to the console to IT support staff at Penn. We have been meeting individually with schools and centers to develop onboarding strategies and will continue to do so, moving forward.
