Last month, ISC announced upcoming improvements to the AirPennNet onboarding experience. Here are some key takeaways:
- SecureW2 JoinNow will be the University's new solution for connecting devices to the campus wireless network.
- The JoinNow App is seamless, easy to use, and works with all major OS platforms.
- Cloudpath will be retired, but devices that were previously set up and joined to AirPennNet and eduroam via Cloudpath will not be affected and will not need to reconnect with JoinNow.
- AirPennNet-Device and AirPennNet-Guest will not be changed and will continue to work as usual.
We are working hard to prepare for these changes, and are planning to rollout JoinNow on Tuesday, July 31. If you are a University IT staff member and interested in trying JoinNow before it officially goes live, we are hosting several JoinNow Testing Events later this month. Additionally, the AirPennNet Special Interest Group (SIG) will be meeting on Tuesday, July 23 to demo JoinNow and discuss these changes in more detail.
