PennKey/KITE/PennO365 Password Sync Information

We are contacting you with an updated schedule for the PennKey-Kite-PennO365 password sync that will occur as part of the replacement of Cloud Control with Active Roles Server (ARS).

  • Monday, February 15: PennKey-Kite-PennO365 password sync enabled for all account holders.
  • Sunday, March 14 - Monday, March 15:  Final cutover begins Sunday evening and completes on Monday morning.

Starting on Monday, February 15, ISC will provide weekly user tracking reports to PennO365 administrators. Reports will be sent Mondays at approximately 9 AM.

In addition to tracking reports, ISC is providing a suite of tools similar to those created for the Two-Step Verification rollout, including:

  • A deployment guide and email template, including a detailed schedule and description of user impacts. The guide is available on Box: https://upenn.box.com/s/x0v3ph2ecuypg92m4okuiw7nt551ypkv
  • WebLogin intercept screen that will launch on February 15 with a message prompting users to change their PennKey passwords and complete the password sync.
  • Weekly tracking reports distributed to PennO365 administrators on Monday mornings at 9 AM. Reports will enable LSPs to send targeted communications to users and identify which users still need to complete the password sync.
  • Web documentation updates (PennO365 support materials and PennKey Support website)
  • UI/UX updates for PennKey, Kite, and PennO365 password reset/log-in pages.
  • Community awareness events include a Lunch and Learn and office hours

On Thursday, February 4, 12:00 PM-1:00 PM, ISC will be hosting an information session to discuss the upcoming PennKey/KITE/PennO365 password synchronization.  Jerry McDonnell (Senior IT Project Leader, ISC Technology Services) will present a brief overview of the project, followed by Q&A with attendees.  If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Andre Harris (harris2@isc.upenn.edu)

Thank you for your continued partnership in implementing this important change.
