Resumption of PennFlex Phone migrations

Colleagues,

As we communicated to you in March, ISC paused migrations to PennFlex Phone for the summer. We are now planning the resumption of migrations, beginning with the August migration, and ending in March 2023.

We are looking for strong and early commitments to the new schedule from you. ISC cannot sustainably operate two concurrent VoIP telephony systems. Your commitments will help to ensure that we complete these migrations from PennNet Phone to PennFlex Phone by March 2023. To date, we have successfully migrated over 10,000 units to PennFlex Phone. As of this writing, we have met our target of 1,100 units for the August migration, although we are earnestly still looking for commitments to reach the 1,100 unit target for the other migration dates to achieve our completion goal.

Below is the schedule for the remaining PennFlex Phone migrations. Please note that these dates have been carefully chosen to balance the workload and resources of our in-house PennFlex Phone staff, our campus partners, and the stringent advance notification timelines of our incumbent telephony provider, so that we can complete our migrations by March 2023. Consequently, these dates must be adhered to, and there is limited possibility for alternation due to external provider scheduling lead times (i.e., phone number porting at a large scale). Finally, going above our 1,100 unit target for each migration will cause significant challenges.
