Retirement of legacy aliases scheduled for July 31, 2018

A reminder that on July 31, 2018, ISC is retiring legacy aliases as part of the final phase of the retirement of the on-premise ISC Exchange email service.

After July 31, ISC will continue to support aliases as Forward-Only addresses, only.  The Forward-Only service helps schools and centers with email addresses that must continue to use the legacy alias because they have been published, widely advertised, or for other reasons. To convert an existing alias to a Forward-Only address, please submit a request to ISC Client Care.  For more information about the Forward-Only service, please see

To assist with the identification of users who may be impacted by the retirement,  IT organizations can submit a request to ISC for a report of legacy @exchange aliases in the central router. The report details last known center, delivery addresses, and if emails were sent to the legacy alias within the last 30 days of the report's run date.

ISC initially scheduled this change for October 2017, and later postponed it until June 30, 2018. However, to provide IT organizations an additional month to prepare, the retirement was rescheduled for July 31, 2018.

If you have any questions regarding the retirement of the legacy aliases, please contact ISC Client Care at
