Two-Step Verification for Students – Intercept screen and 30-day countdown begin on Tuesday, January 15, 2019

Starting Tuesday, January 15, 2019, current students who have not yet enrolled in Two-Step Verification will see an intercept screen when they use Penn WebLogin. The intercept screen will prompt them to enroll in Two-Step and feature a countdown message showing the number of days to enforcement. Here is the screenshot of the screen.

  • The intercept screen and countdown start on Tuesday, January 15 which is 30 days before the student enrollment deadline on Thursday, February 14.
  • Students will see the intercept screen once per day, the first time they authenticate successfully with Penn WebLogin
  • The intercept screen will be displayed for 20 seconds, or users can click "continue immediately" to proceed.
  • The intercept screen links directly to the Two-Step enrollment application and support materials.
  • Once students enroll in Two-Step, they will no longer see the intercept screen.

This change is part of Penn’s ongoing efforts to enhance security for University information assets and users’ personal data. An updated landing page with links to the enrollment application and self-help resources is available at http://www.upenn.edu/two-step.
