Removing AirPennNet settings from a device

The following instructions will show you how to remove existing AirPennNet settings from a device. If you have a device that has connected to AirPennNet in the past but no longer can do so, in many cases removing these settings and re-running the JoinNow wizard on the Connect to AirPennNet network can remediate the problem.

macOS
  1. Select "System Preferences" from the Apple Menu in the upper-left-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Click on "Profiles" from within the System Preferences.
  3. Select the AirPennNet profile (should be named something like "University of Pennsylvania AirPennNet")
  4. Click on the minus button below the list of profiles
  5. Click on "Remove."
  6. Connect to the "Connect to AirPennNet" network and reconfigure the device for AirPennNet, if desired.
  1. Open the "Settings" app on your iOS device.
  2. Select the "General" option in the Settings app.
  3. Scroll to the "Profile" option under "General" and tap it.
  4. Tap on the existing AirPennNet profile (this will likely be named something like "University of Pennsylvania AirPennNet"
  5. Tap "Remove Profile."
  6. Enter your passcode if prompted, and confirm by tapping "Remove Profile."
  7. Connect to the "Connect to AirPennNet" network and reconfigure the device for AirPennNet, if desired.
  1. Click on the Start button and type "Settings." Select the Settings app.
  2. In the Settings app, click "Network & Internet."
  3. Under the "Wi-Fi" settings, click "Manage known networks."
  4. Find and click on "AirPennNet."
  5. Click the "Forget" button.
  6. Connect to the "Connect to AirPennNet" network and reconfigure the device for AirPennNet, if desired.

Note: The interface for configuring an Android device can significantly differ between models. The below instructions will work for "stock" Android devices but steps may differ depending on the manufacturer and model of device being used.

  1. Open the "Settings" app on your Android device.
  2. Select the "Wi-Fi and Network" options in the Settings app.
  3. Select the "Wi-Fi" option.
  4. Find the "AirPennNet" network and select the settings icon (looks like a gear) next to it.
  5. Select the "Forget" option.
  6. Connect to the "Connect to AirPennNet" network and reconfigure the device for AirPennNet, if desired.
