Information Security Essentials Online Training

To help reduce the risk of compromise and/or the unauthorized access to sensitive University data, the Office of Information Security provides Information Security Essentials Online Training. This training is offered through Knowledge Link and consists of three short, high-quality videos targeted to raise awareness about three important security themes:

  • Computer Compromises
  • Passwords & Phishing
  • Lost or Stolen Data & Devices

Each module takes approximately three to four minutes to complete. You can complete the three training modules at one time in about 10 minutes or you can space out the training over a time period that is more convenient to you. 

Access Training

To access and complete Information Security Essentials Online Training:

  • Visit Information Security Essentials Online Training
  • Enter your Penn Key and password
  • Complete and exit each training module
  • Click Return to Content Structure 
  • Select the next training module 

After completing the three training modules, you have the choice to print a certificate of completion.
