Overview
The Web-based Printing from Mobile Devices evaluation team has been tasked with assessing mobile printing technologies such as Pharos MobilePrint and determine the level of interest in mobile printing adoption across campus in support of summer 2014 licensing efforts. Specific deliverables include evaluation and benchmarking of available web-based printing technologies and volume/site licensing as appropriate based on those results.
Evaluation teams are expected to refine the scope and then pursue research and/or testing as appropriate based on the goals and expected deliverables. Teams that are asked to evaluate and recommend products should define requirements and selection criteria, develop a test script, identify candidate products and technologies, do testing, present findings, and make recommendations to IT Roundtable. The teams also will maintain web sites to enable others to stay informed regarding their progress, and will create draft documentation for LSPs and end users as appropriate.
