Overview
ISC Web Services provides a suite of web hosting service offerings for University clients. Our primary service is hosting for Drupal and WordPress sites in partnership with Pantheon. Pantheon’s market-leading, container-based infrastructure provides greater security and stability than traditional shared hosting solutions. The Pantheon deployment tools greatly ease the process of deploying and maintaining websites. The University-negotiated contract with Pantheon provides additional services and protections beyond those provided by self-service hosting plans at a reduced cost.
Benefits
The Pantheon hosting platform provides:
- The Pantheon dashboard, which features market-leading deployment tools for Drupal and Wordpress
- Separate Dev, Test, and Live environments for each site
- A multi-dev mode that supports team development through the ability to provide additional development environments for a site
- Git-managed Drupal and WordPress core code upstreams in order to ease deployment of core software updates
- DNS, SSL, PennKey authentication, and basic PennGroups integration are provided as part of the service at no additional cost
If your needs can not be fulfilled through the Pantheon service, ISC also provides static web hosting as a low cost resource for simple web publishing needs. Web Services offers hosting for static content for sites that do not rely on server-based code (such as php or python).
If you need hosting for web development platforms other than Drupal or WordPress, ISC provides virtual server hosting. Both Red Hat Linux and Windows systems are available. More information can be found at Virtual Hosting Services. Contact ISC Client Care to learn more.
