Description: On Sunday, June 4, 2017 beginning at 12:00 AM, ISC will enable redundancy and high availability network connectivity between 3401 Walnut and South Bank Data Center (SBDC) networks, and to the rest of campus. This architecture will allow us to relocate backup services to SBDC and have failover of these services to either data center location. Customers should only see brief disruption of service if they happen to be connecting to a data center application or service during the maintenance window. All regularly scheduled production batch jobs and sequences will be held during this time.
Planned outages are required for regular maintenance of the technology infrastructure that supports University systems. These outages are key to the data center providing consistent and predictable service and helps to deter against unplanned downtime. While there is never a perfect time for the data center to be off-line, we have scheduled all outages for weekends and on dates that are the least disruptive to significant campus events and key dates in the University’s academic and business calendars. For more information click here.
Services not affected include ISC e-mail services, www.upenn.edu, AirPennNet, PennNet, PennNet Phone and voicemail, and traditional analog phone service
In the event that you receive reports of problems beyond the planned maintenance window, please call ISC Client Care at 215-898-1000. If necessary, please follow after hours prompts.
We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to improve ISC services at Penn.
