ISC will perform a warm start of the optical node located at 401 N Broad St. in order to restore a redundant 100G circuit between MAGPI and our border router in the Vagelos NAP.
Internet2 connectivity is currently being carried over a 100G link between the border router in Huntsman and MAGPI at 401 N Broad St. The warm start is not expected to impact the 100G link through Huntsman, but our vendor support engineer indicates that it is possible. ISC is scheduling the warm start to begin over Winter Break while network utilization is low and our vendor support is available. A 10G path to Internet2 will be open should the remaining 100G path drop during the warm start.
The warm start should take less than 20 minutes to complete. The remained of the window will be used for testing.
