This month is the annual “Back-to-School” presentation, with several shorter presentations about what’s new and interesting around campus in the upcoming academic year. Highlights include:
- Brent Friedman from Purchasing Services will present an overview and analysis of Penn’s $116M IT spend profile. He will dive into the IT purchasing numbers: nearly 900 IT vendors, over 400 software companies, 975 contracts, and 6500 purchase orders across 16 IT categories ranging from software to hardware to services to telephony services.
- Stephanie Riley, LMS Support Specialist from ISC, will be presenting updates and reminders about Lynda.com accounts.
- Charles Rumford from ISC NERD (Network Engineering Research and Development) will present on the new and updated AirPennNet-Device wireless network, which is designed for devices that are not currently able to support AirPennNet's 802.1x configuration.
- Jeff Rusling from the Computer Connection will present on the Computer Connection's 2017 Back-to-School sale, with charts to illustrate the data.
