Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law on Foreign Cyber Interference and Its Implications for Higher Education

On Election Day - A must-attend event! Penn Office of Information Security (OIS) and the Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law (CERL) are hosting a timely discussion for the University of Pennsylvania community on the implications on foreign cyber interference and the University’s response to foreign cyber interference threats. Higher Education institutions behave in an open expression model potentially used by foreign entities to harvest research information and credentials.

Dr. Claire Finkelstein, Algernon Biddle Professor of Law and Professor of Philosophy and Faculty Director of Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law, will present on foreign cyber interference and its impact on higher education institutions. Followed by a discussion on the effect of external interference on research, privacy and security at the University of Pennsylvania by Bob Desilets, Senior Information Security Analyst.
