Did you know that AWS provides a free managed service to help you securely connect to your EC2 or on-premises instances without managing SSH keys, exposing ports to the internet, or using bastion hosts? AWS Systems Manager Session Manager allows you to proxy shell connections to your instances using a web browser, the AWS CLI, or native SSH clients using your AWS credentials with auditing built-in. It can also be used to forward/redirect local ports to your instances. In this overview, Matt Boyd from AWS will provide an overview of AWS Systems Manager Session Manager, demonstrate its capabilities, and walk through how to automatically enable it on all EC2 instances in your account using Systems Manager Quick Setup and/or Infrastructure as Code.
