Lunchtime Learning: Identity and Access Management Initiatives

James Brewer, ISC Director of Identity and Access Management will present an update on several Identity and Access Management initiatives, including:

• 2-factor authentication – Several improvements are being made to the WebLogin/Duo 2-factor authentication system. We can now require all users of specific applications to use 2-factor when accessing those applications, as well require specific groups of users to always use 2-factor authentication, regardless of which applications they access.
• PennKey Password Expirations and Resets – Pilot programs to require and process password resets are underway at Wharton and Nursing. See how the new tools work, and how they can be used to require and manage password resets for any group of PennKey holders.

James will also describe early-stages, exploratory work on Privileged Account Management and flexible solutions for authenticating external user populations.
