Plain language workshop

| 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Plain language (also called plain writing or plain English) is communication your audience can understand the first time they read or hear it. We'll go over what plain language is, why governments around the world are requiring it for electronic communications, and various tools and resources to help you along the way.

After this workshop, attendees should be able to:

  • Know what plain language is
  • Utilize techniques to ensure plain language
  • Balance the content needs of various audiences (technical/research audiences vs. the layperson)
  • Audit existing content for improvements

Use the Plain language workshop registration form to be added to the invite.
