SUG: Client Security Software at Penn

| 12:00pm to 1:30pm Virtual, via Microsoft Teams

When Broadcom acquired Symantec in 2019, they continued to support Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP), but chose in late 2020 to end-of-life the product. As CrowdStrike (Penn's product for institutionally-owned systems) is not appropriate for individually-owned systems, the University formed a cross-campus team to evaluate possible replacements. In this session, we'll discuss the findings of that team.

Topics include an overview of the team and its findings, concerns, discussion of how to migrate institutional systems from SEP+CrowdStrike to CrowdStrike only, and the path forward for individually-owned systems.
