Updates to ISC's Desktop and Laptop Backup service

As you may already be aware, Carbonite has announced that it will be discontinuing Mozy, the product that ISC’s Backup for Desktop and Laptop service utilizes, by the end of this calendar year. In the immediate future, ISC will be evaluating potential products to replace Mozy. The replacement will be based on the community’s needs and feedback. We encourage anyone who has suggestions, requests, or would like to join the evaluation team to please reach out and let us know. Those of you who provided software evaluation planning feedback in the recent SLA review discussion are assured that we will work to incorporate your input into our service planning.

In addition, ownership and management of Backup for Desktop and Laptop will be transitioning. Previously, Dave Dimm and Tony White have served as Service Owners; as we transition to a new backup product, ownership of the service will transfer to Client Care, with Ian Kelley stepping in as new Service Owner. All service requests and incidents can continue to be submitted via Client.
